Dinner at El Rey tonight was just what the doctor ordered.
Hubby and I were both craving soup, and their famous Chicken Tortilla Soup hit the spot. It's loaded with shredded chicken breast, corn, avocado, cheese, and topped with toasted tortilla strips. Sprinkle it with a little lime, and you're set for a fantastic meal. The bowl can easily fill you up, so get the small if you're going to have other food.
In addition to our soups, we split a Rotisserie Chicken Torta (that you can see in the background below). It's a Mexican style sandwich served on toasted Bolillo bread with lettuce, tomato, avocado and a light touch of sour cream. Top it off with some salsa and you're all set! Delicioso!
